Advertising Policies and Requirements
Copy Acceptance
All copy subject to publisher's approval. Acceptance of advertising does not imply endorsement or approval by Nursingmatters of the advertisement, the advertiser or any claims made.
Terms
Payment for
advertising (other than cash-in-advance) will be due the 25th of the month
following services with credit approval. If not paid by the 25th of the
month following service, balance will be subject to a 1% per month (12%
per annum) service charge, and the contract may be regarded as void and the
non-contract earned rate may be applied against all the advertising used
during the life of the contract. Unpaid past balance on any account may
result in cancellation of pending advertising without prior notice.
Contracts not fulfilled in the specified time period or canceled prior to fulfillment
will have the rate adjusted to the earned rate. An advertiser may cancel
an existing contract that is proportionately fulfilled, at any time, with
no penalty when it is replaced with a lager volume contract.
Nursingmatters also reserves the right to refuse advertisements that contain what is
considered to be false, illegal, or libelous information, or material that
gratuitously offends members of the general public.
Mechanical Requirements
Design Services:
Graphic design
and typesetting services are available through Madison Newspapers, Inc.
at no additional charge.
Camera Ready Requirements:
Camera-ready
ads must be velox, PMTs or scotch prints to size, or black on white stark
glossy to size. Please submit halftone negatives or prescreened positives
in 85- or 100-line screens only. Photocopies,
newsprint versions and fax machine transmissions are not acceptable as camera-ready
artwork. We scan camera-ready ads for electronic placement. It is preferable
to submit ads on disk if possible, especially if halftones are involved.

Software
Software for Macintosh or Windows/IBM. Quark XPress,
Pagemaker, Macromedia Freehand, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe
Acrobat.
Please include all screen and printer fonts. Include all graphic support files and their
fonts. Please include laser proofs at 100% and print out disk directory
showing folder contents. If you have
